In Pool Live Pro you will be able to choose your style of pool as well as the place you play as you set out to be the best player around. Play for fun in the practice mode, or step into the quick matches to earn coins and play people from all over the world.
There are 2 types of pool available to play, the american 8 ball with spots and stripes and the english Blackball using red and yellow balls. In each case you need to pot all of the balls with your pattern and then the black to win.
In practice mode you are able to move any of the balls, and use all of the 3 tricks for free whenever you wish. Each booster has a unique effect, the first is a power shot, that greatly increases the speed of the white ball. The second increases the amount of spin you can put on the white ball and the last is a laser pointer showing you where both the object ball and white will go.
When you choose to play a quick match, you can enter into a room to play. Each room has a bet amount, and you and your opponent both put that amount in, for example in the Motorbike Hall the bet is 250, but in the Old Town Saloon the bet is 1000. The winner of the match takes all so you can double your money in each game.
As you play you will also receive experience, based on how many shots you played and how many balls you potted. This experience counts towards your overall level, and in order to unlock certain pool halls you have to be a certain level.
As well as opening up new pool halls coins can also be spent on a new cue for you to use. There are lots of options to choose from and each has a particular cost. The cue does not have any effect on the table but they do look good.
Both coins and tricks are available for purchase for real money through the game. The only way to get new tricks is to buy them for real money, which is a little frustrating as everything else costs coins.
Pool Live Pro has a really smooth gameplay style with an easy to use interface. Moving the position of where you strike the white can be done with the arrow keys or the mouse, and using the tricks is easy. You can play the game without using tricks, though they do make it a little easier sometimes.
