Assault Fire is a top tier MMOFPS game that blends together the concepts of traditional MMOFPS games with a bit of sci-fi elements on the side. It’s a rather peculiar combination but it’s one that ultimately works out quite well and makes this game worth anyone’s while due to the fantastic gameplay and brilliant visuals that it has to offer.
Starting off in Assault Fire, you’ll be introduced to the game through a small tutorial sequence built to guide you through the basics of the game. The tutorial sequence is quite concise so it’ll explain all there is to know without being too time consuming which is a trait that every tutorial sequence should have. Alongside explaining the basics, completing the tutorial also nets you a fair bit of currency that you can later on utilize to upgrade your pre-existing equipment or buy new gear.
The game places you into an on-going war between humans and mutants and you’re asked to choose a faction to fight for. There are two factions to choose from; the first faction is the GSDU which is basically run by the government whereas the other faction is the Resistance which was formed by a bunch of renegades who were against the methods of the GSDU. The faction you choose has a substantial impact on your gameplay as there is certain equipment that is restricted to each faction.
The defining factor of pretty much the entire MMOFPS genre is that the games consist of high intensity, fast-paced gameplay with some competitive aspects added into the mix and Assault Fire certainly has all the above. There is great fun to be had because your gameplay will consist of both standard FPS gameplay coupled with the fact that you can actually board giant mechs from time to time to unleash havoc upon your enemies.
The thing that makes the gameplay so great is that it’s quite dynamic. One moment you’ll be cautiously taking out waves of enemies from behind cover but within minutes this can change to you completely demolishing your enemies on a giant battle mech equipped with devastating weapons.
The fast paced gameplay of Assault Fire comes with a great amount of variety as well. Players can customize their equipment exactly according to their preferences and you have a ton of options to choose from when doing so. Once you’ve progressed through the game a bit you’ll have access to a wide array of primary weapons, secondary weapons and other equipment that you can put together to create a weapon load-out that suits your play-style.
In terms of visuals, Assault Fire has a lot of great sights for you to see. The different maps of the game have an incredible amount of detail in them and they just burst into life during games when there’s gunfire and explosions wherever you look. The character and weapon design is top notch and overall the game hits the nail on the head when it comes to the graphics department.
Like most large scale MMO games, Assault Fire has a cash shop of its own where you can get your hands on special limited edition equipment and a bunch of other decorative content by paying with real world money.
